The Vivier aux Carpes Campsite is situated amidst peaceful, natural surroundings in the department of Aisne, Picardy. This is an ideal location from which you can discover the many tourist attractions of the Picardy region. The campsite is situated near the town of Saint-Quentin, just 2 hours from Calais, 90 minutes from Bruxelles and Paris; here you can relax near a fishing lake, just a few miles from the wine cellars of Champagne and the First World War battlefields.

The Campsite

airedejeux.jpgIn this leafy, immaculately maintained setting, nature lovers and fishing enthusiasts will enjoy exceptional camping facilities just 2 hours from Calais, 90 minutes from Paris and only 15 minutes from the town of Saint-Quentin.

The campsite offers 59 spacious pitches (19 of which are reserved for annual rentals).  Each pitch has its own electricity supply and is clearly defines usually with hedges to maintain a certain degree of privacy. Whether you are staying in a caravan, camping car or tent, you will find an ideal spot.   Here, you will discover and enjoy the calm and tranquillity of the Picardy countryside.

Your well-being is our priority.
A spacious meeting room is available for your use, quipped with a ping-pong table and American billiard table and children's play area. There is also free wireless internet access and a small collection of books for you to borrow, in several languages.

There is a modern, spacious and impeccably clean washing area, including free hot showers and provision for guests with disabilities. There is also a separate area for washing up and laundry. A washing machine and tumble drier are available at a small charge. Baby kit (bath, toilet adaptator, nappy changing table) and hair dryer are available in the sanitary.photo_camping_2

You can buy all you need at the small village shop, including take-away pizzas. The shop, which is also a sub-post office, is open every day except Mondays. A local baker also visits the campsite every morning.

All your favorite activities are on hand and include fishing, petanque, hiking, cycling or just relaxing, and you will be given special rates for nearby horse riding, tennis club and golf club.   

Pets are accepted on the campsite, so long as they have the necessary documentation  and we can arrange veterinary injections for your return to the UK.

Picardy is a region rich in history and beautiful landscapes which you can discover on foot or mountain bike.  You will find a multitude of tourist and cultural sites as you tour the region. 

Finally, we have the facility for you to store your caravan all year round in secure parking next to the campsite. All you need to do is telephone or email us and we will bring your caravan onto the campsite, ready for you to either spend some time with us or collect it and go on your travels.
