Leuke doorgangscamping in het voorseizoen omdat andere campings nog gesloten zijn. Camping ligt in het dorp met een supermarktje op loopafstand waar ook vers brood wordt verkocht. Op de camping zeer vriendelijke ontvangst en zeer schoon sanitair, wordt verwarmd. Voor de was staat een wasmachine en droger klaar, die door eigenaresse bediend moet worden. De eigenaresse spreekt zeer goed Engels. Camping is open vanaf 1 maart, en wordt veel bezocht door Engelsen op doorreis. Op de camping visgelegenheid in de vijvers bij de camping.

Wij gebruiken deze camping al meer dan 15 jaar als doortrekcamping, ideaal, Engelstalige beheerders, toen de kinderen jonger waren viste ze daar op karper, primwel veel muggen en vliegen als je dicht bij het water gaat staan.

Good clean, well maintained campsite set in grounds containing a fishing lake. This may be a hazard to small children, but for us it posed no problem. Facilities are good but not outstanding. Free WiFi is available on site.

We stayed one night, passing through on our way south. We could not fault the campsite or the friendly and helpful reception. Would recomend to every, and we would stay there again.

Nous avons dormi une nuit, sur notre chemin vers le sud. Réception aimable et serviable. Je le recommande à tout le monde, et nous y retournerons.
Signalisation du terrain de camping pourrait être mieux.

The site is very well placed as a stop-over from the Tunnel going South with the Intermarche nearby. Also liked the baker. Friendly reception and service

Le site est très bien placé comme un arrêt à moins de 2heures du Tunnel en direction du sud de la France, avec la proximité d'un Intermarché, boulanger dans le camping et réception amicale.
Notre premier séjour nous ont mis dans un champ ouvert à côté d'un mur de briques non pas comme décrit «Chaque emplacement a son propre approvisionnement en électricité et définit clairement généralement avec des haies"

It was fairly peaceful, and ideally suited for visiting th eSomme battlefields/memorials. If I was there a fortnight, I might have fished more.
The weather was wet and windy, but it was back at home too, so just bad luck.

Camping calme et idéalement bien situé pour visiter les champs de bataille de la Grand Guerre. Si j'avais été là une quinzaine de jours, j'aurai pris plus de temps pour pêché.
Le temps était humide et venteux, comme à la maison aussi, pas de chance!

Pitch overlooking lake was excellent, although it did become rather muddy when it rained. All facilities very clean and well maintained.

Pitch Lake dominant était excellente, bien qu'elle ne deviennent plutôt boueuse quand il pleuvait. Toutes les installations très propre et bien entretenu.

The friendly, helpful service that we had on a lovely, clean campsite. We would recommend it to anyone. Throughly enjoyed our visit and will come again.
The only thing that could be done to improve the service is to ensure the toilet paper does not run out first thing in the morning.

Campsite has fishing lake. We knew this and took the opportunity to have a go. We were quite a long way away from the one toilet/shower block, but actually this was OK (except the middle of the night pee!).

Camping a étang de pêche. Nous savions cela et on en a profité pour pêcher. Nous étions loin du bloc sanitaire, mais en réalité cela était OK (sauf au milieu de la nuit pee!).

S'il y a juste un petit quelques chose à signaler ce serai sur les pommeaux de douche qui sont beaucoup trop prés du mur et le jet d'eau n'est pas assez puissant c'est dommage étant donné que les douches sont trés spacieuse mais sinon tout c'est trés bien passé.

We really enjoyed our stay at this site. Alexandra was so friendly and helpful. The showers/toilets etc were always spotlessly clean and the children loved the play park and games room. There was lots of tourist information available and it was regularly updated. The pitches were a good size and we liked the hedges between each one which give privacy. All in all we loved the site and would thoroughly recommend it.

Quiet campsite. Pitches good size and secluded with hedges. Free WiFi in recreation room. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful site owners.Toilets/showers very clean and acceptable but could do with updating. New owners - so would expect more improvements. Would definitely visit again.

the communal complex was very clean and well maintained. the other campers were very nice and friendly. this was our first time camping and we are excited to go again.

We have been several times over recent years , it is an ideal stop over but is also worth spending some time here. It is very peaceful in a lovely setting . We will certainly be returning sometime soon.
Not having enough time to stay longer !!!

Nous avons été à plusieurs reprises ces dernières années, c'est une étape idéale mais elle est aussi la peine de dépenser un certain temps ici. Il est très calme dans un joli cadre. Nous allons certainement être de retour très bientôt.
Dommages de ne pas avoir assez de temps pour rester plus longtemps!

Nous avons passé 4 journées dans ce camping, avons reçu un accueil chaleureux du propriétaire, l'étang situé au milieu est poissonneux à merveille (dont des carpes amour)..Je recommande donc ce site de repos génial à tous les amoureux de la nature...

We found this quiet gem the first year Le Vivier aux Carpes opened twenty years ago. Since then we have returned every year and now spend up to three months a year there. It is a peaceful site, surrounded by lakes fed by the La Somme. Christiane is very helpful and is a great problem solver when visitors occasionally experience medical or mechanical difficulties. The toilets, showers and washing facilities are pristine and are kept immaculate at all times. The pitches are mostly generous. The whole region is historic and cultural.There are many interesting places to visit: Laon (once the capital of France); St Quentin, with its amazing 500 year old Hotel de Ville ( its picture was on the back of France's old fifty franc note), Paris is 1 1/2 hours away ( recommendation is to go by train, particularly if going direct to EuroDisney), Chantilly ( for the races); Compiegne, Pierrefonds ( a wonderful fairytale castle); historic Reims ( visit the Champagne Houses); Soissons (cathedral); or follow the Poppy Trail ( First World War Battles). The list goes on and on.
Spend a few days at Le Vivier aux Carpes, make some visits and relax. Like us, you will want to come back.

We first visited this beautiful site tucked away in the sleepy little
village of Seraucourt-le-Grande some six years ago. How pleasent it was to be welcomed by a helpful English speaking manager. We chose a pitch right on the side of the lake as I love to do a little bit of fishing. Well it got even better when I started to catch my favorite fish, carp. This site was
not only quiet and peaceful but during the evening sunset the view across
the lake was stunning.
This site offered all we could ask for, with a very clean toilet block that
is cleaned every morning. It includes hot showers, washing facilities,
washing machine and tumble dryer, dish washing facilities and of course all the other usual ameneties. The village has a small supermarket and a pharmacy, with the bigger supermarkets just a few miles away.
Well that was us hooked, we have now been visiting this site continuously
ever since. If we want to visit some of the beautiful sights in France, they
are but a couple of hours drive away.
Of course one of the best things about this site is, that you don't waste too much of your holiday driving as it is just; 2 hours from Calais; 2 hours 10 minutes from Dunkirk and 2 hours 15 minutes from the Channel Tunnel.
